The International Driving Permit (IDP) Repository is a reference resource compiled by the FIA, providing country-by-country information on the international driving permit framework worldwide. For each jurisdiction, it indicates the international conventions) on road traffic to which the country is a party, the authority responsible for issuing IDPs locally, whether non-residents maybe issued an IDP, and which IDP versions are recognised by the local authorities for visiting drivers.
The Repository is maintained by the FIA in cooperation with its Member Clubs around the world, and is intended as a practical reference for travellers, mobility clubs, road traffic authorities, and policymakers. As legislation and administrative practice may change over time, users are encouraged to verify specific requirements with the competent national authorities before travelling.
